Najd Choir made history by being the first amateur mixed choir in Saudi Arabia to ever sing both the French national anthem and the Saudi national anthem in classical acapella. Members of Najd Choir, a 12-piece group out of 30 members, shined on stage and performed “La Marseillaise” and “Sari’i” to promote cross-cultural dialogue between the two countries. 

Najd choir was sponsored and incubated by Syrup Global LLC in 2020 in Riyadh and conducted by Mr. Adnan Rachid.It’s main purpose is to spread Arabic Gulf music in a classical fashion within Saudi Arabia, GCC countries, and in the rest of the world.

The French anthem and the Saudi anthem were both sung in a classical acapella style, as this style portrays the beauty and confessional power of congregational singing.Together they’ve taken us on a harmonious journey. This event gathered the beauty of both French and Saudi cultures through music, addressed the cultural gaps, and strengthened mutual cooperation with the support of the French Cultural Counsellor in Saudi Arabia, representing Syrup’s purpose towards contributing to the goals for Saudi Vision 2030.
